Every year, Trotec transforms 200,000 tons of vegetable by-products into compound animal feed. In doing so, Trotec actively contributes to the European Union’s ambition to reduce food waste by 50 percent in 2030. Thanks to the processing of the by-products in its two plants, Trotec keeps at least 40,000 ha of land free for the production of primary agricultural products. Renowned for its extensive knowledge of raw materials and nutrition, the entire feed production takes place in-house. Marcopolo Comercio S.L., part of Gruppo Eurovo, an International Poultry Group based in Italy, produces eggs intended for human consumption, as well as pasteurised liquid eggs for the food industry. In addition to owning almost 3 million layers, Marcopolo owns a feed factory that supplies its production farm. The company only depends on other parties for the purchase of one day-old pullets and feed materials.Read more
Marine Akwa, founded in 2016 by Fanny Giudicelli, produces marine-based solutions for the fish and shrimp farming industry. Although based in France, Marine Akwa is selling its additives throughout Latin America. GMP+ FSA certification greatly boosted this young company’s ambitions to create ‘a new vision of aquaculture’, which combines efficiency with a natural approach.Read more
