New GMP+ numbers mandatory from 1 December 2024

As of 1 December 2024, the transition period of 5 years will expire and the old GMP+ registration numbers can no longer be used. From then on, it will only be possible to use the new GMP+ registration numbers. These always start with GMP followed by a unique sequence of six digits.

What do we use GMP+ registration numbers for?

GMP+ registration numbers are used for the identification of certified companies within the GMP+ Feed Certification scheme. Each certified location has a unique GMP+ number. These numbers are essential for traceability and compliance with GMP+ certification requirements.

Old vs. New GMP+ Registration Numbers

Although we have been using new GMP+ registration numbers for some time and have communicated about this before, it was still possible to use the old GMP+ registration numbers in the GMP+ Company database or the Monitoring database, among others. From December 1, 2024, the old numbers will no longer be valid and will no longer be visible in the GMP+ Company database. Only the new registration numbers will remain available under 'Registration number'.
