GMP+ International (30 employees) is the world’s largest scheme for safe and sustainable animal feed. With more than 20,000 certified companies in approximately 90 countries, we contribute to a safer and more sustainable world.

The position
As a Business Development Manager, your focus is on increasing the global market share of GMP+ certificates. And particular in Latin America (Brazil), Eastern Europe and South-East Asia. You see and capitalise on new opportunities, maintain and strengthen relationships in our community and represent GMP+ at international events and network organisations. You are driven and get energised through the achievement of concrete results.
You work closely with the Commercial Director, your colleague Business Development Manager and the internal departments Marketing & Communication, Scheme & Customer Service and Business Operations.
What will you do?
- Strengthening our commercial international position. You will focus on the growth of certificates for feed safety and sustainability, with special growth markets being Latin America (Brazil), Eastern Europe and Asia.
- You maintain and expand the collaboration with current and new Certification Bodies, Registered Consultants, partners and other major parties in the market, such as retailers and vertically integrated companies.
- You develop and implement commercial strategies in collaboration with internal teams.
- You manage and optimise the sales funnel, focus on turnover growth and customer satisfaction.
- You represent GMP+ at international events, maintain relationships and build networks.
- You identify trends in the market and contribute to the continuous improvement of our organisation and brand reputation.

- At least 5-10 years of relevant work experience
- Commercial / Result-oriented / Execution power: You have achieved concrete commercial results in your previous positions and this is what drives you. You get energy from closing deals and building relationships in our community. You have a practical and operational attitude. Explore new markets, forms of cooperation, see opportunities, make plans and translate them into achieving concrete results.
- Proven affinity with feed and food safety / animal feed / the agricultural side of food production.
- Strategic: You have concrete experience in developing growth strategies and you think along with stakeholders on a strategic level. You have also achieved concrete results in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Networker par excellence: You know how to build and maintain sustainable relationships within complex international networks.
- Market and environmental awareness: You have a keen eye for trends and developments that impact our sector, such as sustainability.
- Language skills: You have an excellent command of Dutch and English and preferably speak another language (for example Portuguese, German, French or Spanish).
- Creativity and entrepreneurship: You are proactive in identifying opportunities and know how to convert them into concrete results.
- Ambition to eventually grow into a commercial director’s position.
