GMP+ FRA has also been simplified.

Now we’d like to hear from you!

After more than two years of listening, reviewing, writing and re-writing, together with the Working Group and various stakeholders we are excited to share with you another part of the results of #ProjectGMP+2020. In response to comments and feedback from our community, the GMP+ FRA module has undergone a renewal, which follows the same structure and approach as the GMP+ FSA renewal. GMP+ FRA and GMP+ FSA are both part of #ProjectGMP+2020.

Since our founding in 1992, GMP+ International has grown from providing a foundation for the Dutch feed industry to a worldwide, feed certification scheme with over 18,000 participants. Over the years, as the number of scopes and documents grew, our scheme lost some of its clarity. After carefully listening to our GMP+ Community, we decided it was time to change that.

Together with a group of stakeholders, we have the simplified GMP+ FRA module. Today, we are proud to publish the preliminary results of our work for the first time. We believe we have succeeded in simplifying our standards, while at the same time maintaining the same high level of feed responsibility assurance. Our GMP+ FRA module will change in three ways:

  1. Restructured: there still is ONE general part with Feed Responsibility Management Requirements for ALL companies. For specific Market Initiatives, additional requirements will be in place.
  2. Readable: the new GMP+ FRA module will be much easier to read and understand.
  3. Goal-oriented: the focus will be on the mandated outcome, much less on the process. This gives participants more freedom to find out what works for them.

Public Consultation

From June 16th 2020 a three-week period of Public Consultation will start in which we encourage you to give your feedback and opinion on the proposed documents.  You are hereby invited to take part in Public Consultation.

Every comment we receive  will be thoughtfully examined conform the scheme principles. Proposals for improvements will be reviewed by the Working Group and validated by the International Expert Committee. This will result in the final GMP+ FRA module. We highly value your opinion, because only by working together we can achieve safe and responsible feed worldwide.
